Observant Giving Back — Every family deserves a photo on the wall.
Observant Giving Back offers free family photography sessions to Kansas families going through a hard season. If you know a family who could use a little joy and a professional photo, we would love to hear about them.

Why we do it
Photos matter more in hard seasons.
Observant Media is a marketing and media company in Sterling, Kansas. Some families never get a professional photo together because money is tight, someone is sick, or life simply got hard. Giving Back is our way of using what we do best to serve our neighbors.
There is no cost to the family, ever. No catch and no sales pitch. Giving Back photos are for the family’s personal use only. We never use them for commercial purposes.

How it works.
Step 1
Nominate
Email info@observantmedia.com or call 620-680-9033 and tell us a little about the family. Families can nominate themselves too.
Step 2
Connect
We reach out to the family privately to see if a session is a good fit and find a time that works.
Step 3
Session
We photograph the family at a park, at home or another place that matters to them.
Step 4
Photos
The family receives edited digital photos at no cost, for their personal use.

Is it really free?
Yes. Giving Back sessions and the edited digital photos are free for the family, for personal use.
Can I nominate my own family?
Yes. Self-nominations are welcome, and every nomination is kept private.
Who is eligible?
Kansas families going through a hard season, such as illness, loss, foster care, military deployment or financial hardship. If you are not sure, reach out anyway.
How many sessions do you offer?
We offer a limited number of Giving Back sessions each year based on our schedule, so we cannot promise every nomination a session. We read every one.
Where do sessions happen?
Most sessions are in central Kansas, near Sterling, Hutchinson, Lyons, McPherson and Great Bend. Ask us about other locations.
Will you use our photos in your marketing?
No. Giving Back photos are for the family’s personal use only. We never use them in advertising, on our website or for any commercial purpose.
